Lake Guntersville has featured less than ideal weather this week, but today’s calm, warming and partly cloudy conditions seem to be the most trying for the competitors in the Rayovac FLW Series event. With numerous local boats on the water, a number of the top 10 pros have been unable to fully capitalize – Cameron Gautley didn’t have a limit at noon and Trevor Fitzgerald, Jay Kendrick and Rob Digh had yet to complete theirs as well.

Though many in the top 10 are struggling, day-two leader Joe Hall of Lake City, Minn., is not. Hall has his limit and the smallest fish in it is a 3-pound spotted bass. He’s banked on the same area that brought him to the lead and it has given him six quality fish and a few more losses on the final day.

With an hour left to fish, anything can happen, but Hall seems to have the inside track to a $40,000 payday. If I was in Minnesota, I’d be on FLWFishing.com at 3:30 p.m. CT for the weigh-in.
