Image for Day Three Midday Update

Other than a brief fog delay this morning, the weather has been picture perfect for the final day of the Costa FLW Series. While the top-10 pros are enjoying the weather, the fish aren’t as enthusiastic about it.

After weigh-in on Friday nearly the entire top 10 mentioned that the bite should be on fire today. So far, that hasn’t been the case.

Day-two leader Jason Lambert has a limit with a kicker over 5 pounds. Glenn Browne had only a few small fish last we heard. The story is about the same for the rest of the top 10 with small fish being reported. Tenth place pro Justin Morgan has nowhere to go but up. He has been fishing the same spot the rim canal all week and started out today by boating a 6-pounder quick. He added another 3 ½-pounder shortly after proving that he is definitely on the right quality.

Our crew got off the water with about two hours left to fish. The water temperature has risen close to 5 degrees and is still climbing. That should help make the final minutes of fishing very interesting as eager females are patiently waiting to move up.

It will likely come down to the final flip or cast of the day to decide the winner in this tight race. Tune into FLW Live at 3 p.m. to watch all the drama unfold.
