A Lifetime Fishing License – Editor-in-Chief Curtis Niedermier

Not every state offers a lifetime fishing license, but some do. I can’t think of a better gift to give than a lifetime of fishing opportunities. Depending on the state, lifetime license fees can vary greatly, from a few hundred bucks to more than $1,000. Often, the cost is based on the angler’s age. In Tennessee, for instance, a person could buy a lifetime sportsman’s license, which includes all fishing and hunting privileges, for a child under the age of 3 for just $200. If you live in the Volunteer State and you’ve got a youngster in the house, that’s a great deal that’ll more than pay for itself over the years. Best of all, if he or she moves out of state some day, Tennessee will still honor the license, so when your baby comes home from college in the summer in the future, the two of you can get out on the water together, and the license is already taken care of. Check your state department of natural resources or wildlife division website to see if a lifetime license is an option where you and your loved ones live, and never let a license fee be an excuse to not go fishing again.

$49.99 – GoPro Jaws Clamp Mount – Social Media and Communications Specialist Chris Burgan

Tournament anglers are increasingly working video into their social media posts. Whether the video is part of a highlight from a day’s big catch or a traveling VLOG series, GoPro clips are all the rage. Many anglers turned videographers utilize the suction cup mount that attaches to a boat’s dash. It works great, but the surfaces where the mount can stick are limited. The Jaws mount can attach securely to just about any surface with a quick clamp. Once there, the gooseneck can be adjusted to find just the right viewpoint. The versatility is great for getting a unique angle on a fish catch or simply setting the scene for a breakdown of the day.

$149.99 – Weego Jump Starter 44 – Senior Editor Kyle Wood

If you’re looking for a gift that is not only practical, but also super useful then look no further than the Weego Jump Starter 44. This bad boy has enough juice to jump almost any toy the sportsman in your life owns, from a truck to a boat to an ATV. On top of being able to get vehicles up and running, it also sports a USB port for charging a phone or other small electronics. Plus, it has built-in LED lights to help you see what you’re doing in the dark, or under the hood of a vehicle. It is compact and lightweight, so it doesn’t take up valuable storage space, which is always a plus. The Weego seems like one of those things every outdoorsy person should have, but probably won’t buy for themselves. So this year, spoil that special someone in your life with a gift you know they’ll put to good use.

$3.99 – Zoom Z-Craw – Associate Editor Jody White

The Zoom Z-Craw has seemingly been in every Top 10 Baits article this year. It gets results all over the country. I’ve caught 'em with a Z-Craw in situations ranging from flipping it on Champlain and Lewis Smith to dragging it on the back of a jig on the ledges of Kentucky Lake. Similar to the Rage Tail stuff, the Z-Craw has a lot of action on the tails at any speed. But the tails aren’t the only good part. The ribbed body seems to hit a perfect point between being too bulky to get into cover and too thin to hold a hook well. When flipping, you can usually catch a couple fish on each bait, and it matches up well on most jigs (especially with a little bit cut off or in the Jr. size). It comes in a pretty good assortment of colors, but green pumpkin, black sapphire and California 420 should cover most situations. At only $4 for a pack, the Z-Craw will thrill most any angler.
