Due to Coast Guard regulations restricting how volunteers can be reimbursed for their assistance, the National Guard FLW College Fishing tournament originally scheduled for July 28 on the Mississippi River in La Crosse, Wisc., has been moved to Sunday, Aug. 5 on Rend Lake.
Takeoff and weigh-in for the Rend Lake event will take place at Wayne Fitzgerald Sailboat Landing, located at 11094 Ranger Road in Whittington, Ill.
FLW apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused. FLW has also requested clarification from the Coast Guard and hopes to have the issue resolved for future events.
