HERNDON, Va. – Professional angler Robert Pearson will have a new look in and out of the water this year after signing a title sponsorship agreement with insurance giant GEICO. As such, Pearson will banner the GEICO logo and the familiar GEICO Gecko on his uniforms, boat, and truck at 15 FLW Outdoors and Bassmaster tournaments.

“You just don’t know how exciting this is for me, and for our sport,” Pearson said. “Having a sponsor like GEICO is virtually unheard of out here. This is leaps and bounds over anything we’ve done before and I couldn’t be happier.”

Pearson lives near GEICO’s Chevy Chase, Md., headquarters and is friends with company CEO Tony Nicely.

“I pursued these guys for a while,” Pearson said. “I just knew this was a perfect fit for our sport and for me and my career. There are a lot of people that need to insure their boats, trailers, and trucks and GEICO is the best insurance, period, so hopefully people will support our sponsors just like they support the anglers.”
