Blaylock lands Typhoon sponsorship
Benton, Ark. – FLW Tour pro Stetson Blaylock and Typhoon Polarized Optics have agreed to a sponsorship package. Blaylock said he’s excited about the agreement.
“It goes beyond a sponsorship deal for me. It’s about having access to, and promoting, a high quality sunglass manufacturer. Typhoon not only makes high-quality products, but they are affordable, so every angler can own a pair. Not everyone can afford a $200 plus pair of sunglasses, with Typhoon they don’t have to.”
Tim Sitterding, Typhoon Polarized Optics Pro-Staff manager, is equally excited about the opportunity to work with Blaylock.
“Stetson is a unique fit for our pro staff. Not only will he offer Typhoon excellent input into the performance of our products, but he will offer us insight to the styles young anglers want in their eyewear. He will be an integral part of helping Typhoon Polarized Optics remain on the cutting edge of both performance and style.”
Blaylock has had problems with eyewear in the past and believes Typhoon has solved that problem for him.
“In the past, I literally could only wear one style and manufacturer of sunglasses. I have always had a problem with headaches from either the lenses or the frames with many manufacturer’s glasses. I have been wearing the Typhoon Polarized Optics for a little over a month now, leading up to this partnership. I have not once had a headache from the Typhoon glasses, as that’s been really hard for me to find in fishing eyewear.”
When it comes to the polarized performance of the Typhoon Polarized Optic’s products Blaylock is already impressed.
“I am seeing things in the water I was missing before. That says a lot about the polarization process used by Typhoon. When I am out there fishing against 140-plus outstanding anglers I need all the advantages I can get. I think that, along with the rest of the Typhoon fishing team, I am gaining an advantage over anglers wearing other brands.”

Blaylock’s primary sponsor is STP. Typhoon also sponsors FLW, the world’s premier tournament-fishing organization.
