Wrangler, which traces its roots back to 1904, joins a team of leading
corporations that have discovered the brand loyalty and purchasing power of the more than 50 million participant angling market.

As the official clothing sponsor of the prestigious tour, the Greensboro, North Carolina-based Wrangler, a division of VF Corporation, will also sponsor the popular FLW Tour television series seen on ESPN and ESPN 2 and one of the 10, new, Ranger Comanche “tournament fishing machines” used by the professional anglers in the final rounds of competition. In addition, the clothing firm will develop a new line of tournament clothing that may be worn by the finalists. The clothing will be designed to coordinate with each sponsor’s boat.

“Wrangler is a welcome addition to our sponsor team,” said Irwin L. Jacobs. “Their 90-year history of quality places them with our other fine corporate sponsors, all leaders in their respective industries.”

“We are excited about our new partnership with the Wal-Mart FLW Tour,” said Craig Errington, Marketing Manager for Wrangler. “Wrangler jeans and apparel have always been synonymous with outdoor activites and lifestyles. As a sponsor of the Wal-Mart FLW Tour, we will further enhance that close connection with the lifestyles of our consumers.
