ARKANSAS ANGLER WINS ARKIE DIVISION TOURNAMENT ON GREERS FERRY LAKE

Mize fished the main lake area using a Carolina rig around points and flats to bag his limit. Second place and $1516 went to Mark Linn of Edgemont, Arkansas, for his five bass limit that weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces. Linn fished the Narrows area with Berkley Power Baits Carolina-rigged.

Rounding out the top positions were: (3) Jeremiah Kindy, Benton, AR, five bass, 8-4, $890; (4) Doug Garrett, Cabot, AR, five bass, 8-2, $570;(5) Bob Harper, Higden, AR, five bass, 8-0, $540; (6) Denver Gulley, Mtn View, AR, four bass, 7-15, $481; (7 tie) Kurt Evans, Hardy, AR, five bass, 7-14, $390; (7 tie) David Cochran, Hot Springs, AR, five bass, 7-14, $390; (9) Wayne Crumpton, Royal, AR, five bass, 7-13, $301; (10) Kevin Attendorn, Herber Springs, AR, five bass, 7-11, $248.

Jimmy Mize of Ben Lomond, AR, won the Abu Garcia Big Bass Award of $1,000 for pound, 13 ounce bass. Kasinger caught the 5 pound, 1 ounce bass. Mize is also leading the Arkie Division Ranger Millennium big bass race for the year with a bass weighing 6 pounds.
