MINNEAPOLIS – “FLW Outdoors Presented by Wal-Mart” on Fox Sports Radio 1190 AM will mix it up Sunday with guests discussing some of the greatest moments in the worlds of fishing, hockey and football. The winner of the FLW Tour Championship – currently taking place on Cross Lake in Shreveport, La. – will be a featured guest. Herb Brooks, coach for Team U.S.A.’s “Miracle on Ice,” will also join the crew along with regular Nick Eatman, writer for DallasCowboys.com.
Beginning Sunday at 10 a.m. CST, hosts Keith Lebowitz and Travis Smith will preview the 2002 NFC East season as well as discuss a variety of sports- and outdoor-related issues with their noted guests.
The newly named winner of the Wal-Mart FLW Tour Championship will be on hand to talk about winning $260,000, the largest championship prize in the tournament’s history. Brooks, whose hockey team beat the unbeatable Russians to take home the gold from the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, N.Y., will talk about his team’s unforeseeable victory. He will also pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Eatman will be calling in with a preview of the Cowboys’ home game against the Tennessee Titans set for noon Sunday.
