2002 FLW Tour champion to discuss chances for repeat
DALLAS – On this Sunday’s edition of “FLW Outdoors Presented by Wal-Mart,” hosts Keith Lebowitz and Tony Casillas talk with Dallas Cowboys tight end Dan Campbell, who is in his fifth season in the NFL. The crew also chats with New York’s Gary Apple, host of Sports Rap Live, WCBS-TV’s 30-minute sports-interview and highlight program. Wrapping up football is regular guest Nick Eatman, a DallasCowboys.com writer. Also appearing on the show is Snickers pro angler John Sappington of Willard, Mo. Sappington will discuss his plans for the upcoming Wal-Mart FLW Tour Championship presented by Castrol.
Campbell, who started all 16 games last year and caught 20 passes for 155 yards, including one touchdown, will talk about the Cowboys’ upcoming season and the season opener against Atlanta. With Apple’s help, “FLW Outdoors Presented by Wal-Mart” will preview the NFC East conference including the New York Giants, the Washington Redskins, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Cowboys. Eatman will give a Dallas Cowboys update regarding the team’s Sept. 7 home opener.
Sappington finished 17th in the 2003 Wal-Mart FLW Tour points standings to earn a trip to the $1.5 million Wal-Mart FLW Tour Championship presented by Castrol, the most lucrative championship in the history of bass fishing. Sappington is the returning champion of the 2002 FLW Tour Championship from which he took home $260,000 cash. The Wal-Mart FLW Tour World Championship of Bass Fishing and Outdoor Show will take place Sept. 10-13 on the James River in Richmond, Va., and the winning pro will take home $500,000 cash. On Sunday, Sappington will talk about his strategy to retain his title.
