FLW Outdoors radio to talk with Wal-Mart FLW Tour anglers
Sunday program features Land O’Lakes anglers Judy Israel, Jerry Williams, Keith Williams
DALLAS – This Sunday on “FLW Outdoors Presented by Wal-Mart,” hosts Keith Lebowitz and Tony Casillas will talk with a group of FLW Outdoors anglers. First, the crew will catch up with Land O’Lakes team member Judy Israel of Clewiston, Fla., who won the Co-angler Division of the Wal-Mart FLW Tour event held last week on the Atchafalaya Basin. The win was a historic one for the FLW Tour, as Israel became the first woman ever to be crowned champion on tour. Also on the show will be father-and-son pros Jerry and Keith Williams of Conway, Ark., who also fish for Team Land O’Lakes. Ranger pro-staff guide David Vance will also be on the air to give his weekly fishing update.
Israel, a 58-year-old grandmother originally from New York’s South Bronx, pocketed $20,000 Friday for her efforts on the Louisiana bayou. Prior to being crowned champion of the Co-angler Division at Atchafalaya, Israel’s richest payday was $4,000 in 2002 for a second-place finish on Lake Martin in the EverStart Series Eastern Division. She will talk about her win and what it means to her.
Jerry Williams, a tournament veteran who started his FLW Outdoors career with the Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League, has racked up more than $150,000 in winnings. His son, Keith, who saw his father’s success, followed in Jerry’s footsteps and began competing in FLW Outdoors events in 2000. During his short tenure in competitive fishing, Keith has already surpassed his father’s winnings with more than $160,000 to his credit. The duo will talk about fishing the tour together and as one another’s competition.
Vance, known as one of the best guides in Texas, will give an update about where the best bass fishing is this week in the great state of Texas.
“FLW Outdoors Presented by Wal-Mart” is broadcast throughout Texas and parts of Oklahoma every Sunday from 8-10 a.m. Central time on Fox Sports 1190 AM KFXR in Dallas.
