NEW YORK CITY – The topics of this week’s edition of “FLW Radio” range from bass fishing to fly-fishing, thanks to a lively mix of guests. During a show taped on location in New York City, host Keith Lebowitz is joined by guests Bobby Curtis, an FLW Tour pro angler, and David Vance, a bass-fishing guide for the northern portion of Texas’ Lake Fork. Deanne Lebowitz, the host’s sister-in-law and voice-over actor for the Matt Groening cartoon series “Futurama,” also joins in by sharing details from a recent fly-fishing trip to Canada.
A native of Siloam Springs, Ark., Curtis has participated in 47 FLW Outdoors events since 1999. He’s fished the Wal-Mart FLW Tour, the EverStart Series and the Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League. The Team Castrol member will discuss the past FLW Outdoors season with Lebowitz, and will also add his insight on angling and the upcoming 2005 FLW Outdoors season.
A regular guest on “FLW Radio,” Vance offers his angling expertise as a Lake Fork guide. This week, Vance will tackle the topic of bass fishing. He’ll give advice on where to fish during the fall season, and will also offer tips on fishing depth and lures. As a Ranger Boat driver, Vance will also pass along some boating tips.
Deanne Lebowitz will offer her own interesting perspective on a recent fly-fishing trip to Whistler, Vancouver. An actress who also does voice-over work, Deanne has lent her voice to characters on the “Futurama” series. As a bonus for “FLW Radio” listeners, Deanne will do some of the voices that made the cartoon a favorite among fans.
“FLW Radio” is presented by Wal-Mart and broadcast throughout Texas and parts of Oklahoma every Sunday from 10-11 a.m. Central time and is rebroadcast every Monday from midnight-1 a.m. on 105.3 FM in Dallas.
