DALLAS – It’s a mix of music and fishing on this week’s edition of “FLW Radio,” as host Keith Lebowitz is joined by country music star Charlie Robison. FLW Tour pro Jason Kilpatrick also stops by to share his insight on angling as a featured guest. The Satsuma, Ala., native and Skippy pro offers his view of the damage done to his home state by Hurricane Ivan.
As the show’s featured celebrity guest, Robison joins Lebowitz to talk about fishing. Robison – along with his wife, Emily, of the Dixie Chicks – are avid bass and saltwater anglers. But when they’re not on the water, they’re making music. As a musician with shoot-from-the-hip tendencies, Robison is known as much for his refreshing candor as his groundbreaking musical career. Robison and Lebowitz discuss the star’s newest album, “Good Times,” and “FLW Radio” listeners will get a chance to hear two new cuts: “New Year’s Day” and “El Cerrito Place.”
Kilpatrick, who also joins in on the discussions this week, has fished 27 FLW Outdoors events since 2001, including seven top-10 tournament finishes. Besides reviewing last month’s FLW Tour Championship that was held in his home state, Kilpatrick talks about experiencing Hurricane Ivan’s damage to Alabama firsthand. Kilpatrick and Lebowitz discuss the potential impact the hurricane has had on Alabama’s fisheries.
“FLW Radio” is broadcast throughout Texas and parts of Oklahoma every Sunday from 10-11 a.m. Central time and is rebroadcast every Monday from midnight-1 a.m. on 105.3 FM in Dallas.
