DALLAS – On “FLW Radio” this week, host Keith Lebowitz talks with tournament director Robert Vannerson about the 2004 Wal-Mart Texas Tournament Trail Championship held Oct. 16-17 near Longview. “FLW Radio” is broadcast live from Dallas on Sunday and made available Wednesday on demand at FLWOutdoors.com.

An avid angler himself, Vannerson talks about commonly used tactics on Lake of the Pines and what it takes to come home with $70,000 in cash and prizes. After day one, Paul Montelongo of San Angelo, Texas, boasted a 17-pound, 13-ounce stringer and a 2-pound lead over Trinity, Texas, native David Curtis. Andy Gaia, Trey Morgan and Matt Cooper rounded out the top five. Despite his large lead, Vannerson did not believe Montelongo’s lead was insurmountable. Listen as Lebowitz and Vannerson review day one’s results and give a preview of what to expect with changing weather conditions on the final day. Lebowitz and Vannerson also discuss the 2005 TTT schedule.

A regular guest on “FLW Radio,” David Vance offers his angling expertise as a Lake Fork guide and takes part in the TTT Championship discussion. Vance is generally regarded as one of the top bass-fishing guides in the state of Texas. He specializes in the technical aspects of angling such as depth and presentation. As a Ranger boat driver, Vance also passes along some boating tips.

“FLW Radio” is presented by Wal-Mart and broadcast throughout Texas and parts of Oklahoma every Sunday from 10-11 a.m. Central time. It is rebroadcast every Monday from midnight-1 a.m. on 105.3 FM in Dallas. For those outside the Texas and Oklahoma markets who do not have KLLI 105.3 FM available to them, shows are made available on demand at FLWOutdoors.com each Wednesday after the weekend broadcast.

Each week Lebowitz assembles an exciting group of distinguished guests – from entertainers to sports-industry figures – to discuss a variety of sports- and outdoor-related issues. “FLW Radio” brings listeners inside information on what’s new in the world of sports as well as what these celebrities do for fun when they’re off the stage or field and in the outdoors.
