DALLAS – “FLW Radio” host Keith Lebowitz speaks this week with Wal-Mart FLW Tour angler John Sappington and EverStart Series veteran Wade Middleton, two anglers who recently returned from a pro bass tournament held on Mexico’s Lake Guerrero. The tournament was billed as a head-to-head competition between the top Texas and Oklahoma anglers. Frequent visitor David Vance also checks in to discuss the current conditions on Texas’ Lake Fork and the best methods for catching giant bass. “FLW Radio” is broadcast live from Dallas Sunday and made available on demand Wednesday on FLWOutdoors.com.

Sappington, the 2002 FLW Tour Championship winner, recently competed in his first major fishing excursion since suffering a near-fatal boating accident in February that broke his neck and back. Listen as Lebowitz and Sappington speak about the accident and what it took to reach recovery. Sappington also discusses his plans to fish the FLW Tour opener in January on Lake Okeechobee in Florida.

Middleton – an EverStart Series, Wal-Mart Texas Tournament Trail and Wal-Mart FLW Walleye Tour veteran – speaks about his experience on Mexico’s top trophy bass lake. The San Antonio native details what tactics were successful in landing giant largemouth bass among thousands of acres of flooded timber.

A regular guest on “FLW Radio,” Vance offers his angling expertise as a Lake Fork guide. Vance is generally regarded as one of the top bass-fishing guides in the state of Texas. He specializes in the technical aspects of angling such as depth and presentation. As a Ranger boat driver, Vance also passes along some boating tips.

“FLW Radio” is presented by Wal-Mart and broadcast throughout Texas and parts of Oklahoma every Sunday from 10-11 a.m. Central time. It is rebroadcast at midnight until 1 a.m. Monday on 105.3 FM in Dallas.
