MINNEAPOLIS – FLW Outdoors announced Wednesday that Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) will expand its Evinrude® sponsorship portfolio and be an official sponsor of all FLW Outdoors saltwater circuits in 2006, giving competitors in the Wal-Mart FLW Kingfish Tour, Wal-Mart FLW Kingfish Series and Wal-Mart FLW Redfish Series exciting new opportunities to earn significant cash bonuses.

“We’re very excited that BRP has stepped up to sponsor our saltwater circuits,” said FLW Outdoors Chairman Irwin L. Jacobs. “Anglers in our freshwater circuits have long enjoyed opportunities presented by Evinrude, so it’s a natural fit for Evinrude to sponsor all of our successful new saltwater circuits as well.”

Anglers who are powered by Evinrude E-TEC® or Evinrude DI outboard engines, model year 2004 or newer, and compete in FLW Kingfish Tour, FLW Kingfish Series or FLW Redfish Series events can earn major contingency bonuses under the new BRP sponsorship and contingency program.

If the teams are powered by a qualifying Evinrude outboard, awards include $37,500 given to the winner of the FLW Kingfish Tour Championship, $30,000 to FLW Kingfish Tour regular-season event winners, $22,500 to the winner of the FLW Kingfish Series Championship, $9,000 to winners of FLW Kingfish Series regular-season events, $25,000 to the winner of the FLW Redfish Series Championship and $12,500 to winners of FLW Redfish Series regular-season events. Complete payouts will soon be available.

“We are extremely pleased with the success of our E-TEC product. The sponsorship of FLW Outdoors saltwater circuits will certainly increase our opportunities in those markets as well as provide increased opportunities for qualifying anglers to bring home big bonus money. We want them to succeed, and we want them to succeed with Evinrude,” said Roch Lambert, vice president, general manager, BRP Outboard Marine Engines.

In addition to the kingfish and redfish circuits, BRP will also sponsor the new FLW Outdoors saltwater striped bass circuit, which was recently announced and will begin in 2006. Further details of the striped bass circuit and Evinrude’s sponsorship involvement will be available soon.
