BENTON, Ky. – FLW Outdoors, the world’s largest tournament fishing organization, has announced an optional payout for the 2009 Walmart FLW Walleye League Finals on Lake Wissota in Chippewa Falls, Wis., Sept. 17-19 that offers anglers the chance to dramatically increase their tournament payback.
The optional payout is in addition to the regular no-entry-fee FLW Walleye League Finals payout and is awarded only to anglers who choose to participate. The optional payout could offer an additional $8,400 to the winning boater and an additional $4,200 to the winning co-angler, based on 120 boaters and co-anglers participating. The fee for participation in the optional payout is $300 for boaters and $150 for co-anglers. In 2009 FLW Walleye League Finals competition, 120 boaters and 120 co-anglers compete for the first two days. On Day 3, the top 10 boaters and co-anglers continue competition and the winners are determined by the heaviest accumulated weight from all three days.
