The National Guard FLW College Fishing circuit will stage its first Central Division event of the season May 9 on Kentucky and Barkley lakes in Gilbertsville, Ky.
The takeoff and weigh-in, scheduled for 6:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Central time, respectively, will take place May 9 at Moors Resort & Marina at 570 Moors Road in Gilbertsville. The takeoff and weigh-in are free to attend and open to the public.
National Guard FLW College Fishing is the country’s largest tournament fishing competition for college bass clubs where college clubs compete for lucrative scholarships and prizes and a chance to compete in the 2010 Forrest Wood Cup in 2010.
Registered teams include Central Arkansas, Central Michigan, SIU, Southeast Missouri State, Indiana University, University of Louisville, College of the Ozarks, UAM, UW Stevens Point, University of Wisconsin, Murray State University, Eastern Kentucky, University of Iowa, Urbana University, University of Minnesota, Kent State University, Missouri State University, University of North Dakota, University of Kentucky, Ohio State, Henderson State, Kansas State University, Western Michigan, MSOE, Wichita State University, Ohio University, University of Missouri, Purdue University, Michigan Tech, UW-Whitewater, Western Kentucky University, Arkansas Tech University, Truman State University, South Dakota State, UW-Stout, UW-Platteville, University of Nebraska, Loras College, University of Illinois and Drury University.
