The National Guard FLW College Fishing circuit will stage its third Central Division event of the season Aug. 22 on the Mississippi River in Fort Madison, Iowa.

The takeoff and weigh-in, scheduled for 6:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. CDT, respectively, will take place Aug. 22 at Captain Kirk’s Marina located at 902 4th St. in Fort Madison. The takeoff and weigh-in are free to attend and open to the public.

National Guard FLW College Fishing is the country’s largest tournament fishing competition for college bass clubs where college clubs compete for lucrative scholarships and prizes and a chance to compete in the 2010 Forrest Wood Cup in 2010.

Registered teams include Central Arkansas, Central Michigan, College of the Ozarks, Eastern Kentucky, Henderson State, Indiana University, Iowa State University, Kansas State University, Kent State University, Loras College, MSOE, Michigan Tech, Missouri State University, Murray State University, Ohio State, Ohio University, Ouachita Baptist, Purdue University, SIU, South Dakota State, Southeast Missouri State, Truman State University, UAM, UW-Eau Claire, UW-Platteville, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Stout, UW-Whitewater, University of Illinois, University of Iowa, University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, University of Minnesota, University of Missouri, University of Nebraska, University of Wisconsin, Urbana University, WKU, Western Michigan and Wichita State University.
