The National Guard FLW College Fishing circuit will stage its third Northern Division event of the season Aug. 29 on Lake Champlain in Plattsburgh, N.Y.
The takeoff and weigh-in, scheduled for 6:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. EDT, respectively, will take place Aug. 29 at Plattsburgh Boat Basin located at 5 Dock St. in Plattsburgh. The takeoff and weigh-in are free to attend and open to the public.
National Guard FLW College Fishing is the country’s largest tournament fishing competition for college bass clubs where college clubs compete for lucrative scholarships and prizes and a chance to compete in the 2010 Forrest Wood Cup in 2010.
Registered teams include Chestnut Hill College; Christopher Newport (2); University (2); Cornell University; East Carolina University; Fairmont State University; Geneseo; Glenville State College; Jefferson College of Health Sciences; Longwood University (2); Lynchburg College; Mansfield University (2); Messiah College; Morrisville State College; North Carolina State University (2); Penn State (2); Radford University; Rensselaer; Slippery Rock University; UNC Charlotte; U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (2); Vermont Technical College; Virginia Tech (2); West Point (2); and West Virginia University.
