The National Guard FLW College Fishing circuit will stage its first event of the 2010 season as the Texas Division heads to Falcon Lake in Zapata, Texas, for a Jan. 9 tournament.
The takeoff and weigh-in, scheduled for 7:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Central time, respectively, will take place Jan. 9 at Zapata County Boat Ramp, #1 County Road, in Zapata. The takeoff and weigh-in are free to attend and open to the public.
National Guard FLW College Fishing is the country’s largest tournament fishing competition for college bass clubs, where college clubs compete for lucrative scholarships and prizes and a chance to compete in the Forrest Wood Cup in 2011.
Teams registered include Angelo State, Baylor University, LSU, LSU-Shreveport, Lamar University, Louisiana Tech University, Northeastern State, Northwestern State, Oklahoma State University, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, Tarleton State Texas, Texas A&M, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas A&M-Galveston, Texas A&M-Kingsville, Texas State University, University of Louisiana, University of North Texas, University of Oklahoma, University of Texas and University of Texas-Tyler.
