The Kentucky Lake American Fishing Series Central Division tournament scheduled for May 13-15 will be held as scheduled.
The event will be held as scheduled, and the U.S. Coast Guard has lifted the safety zones on Kentucky and Barkley lakes. This means that competition waters now include all of Kentucky Lake and all of Barkley Lake except those waters designated as off limits under Rule 12 and additional water in Buckhorn Bay for fish release. Off-limits areas will be covered in detail at the pretournament meeting.
Daily takeoffs and weigh-ins will be held at Buckhorn Park located off Moors Camp Highway in Gilbertsville, Ky. Registration and the pretournament meeting will be held at Ken-Bar Lodge located at 7711 U.S. Highway 641 South in Gilbertsville. The phone number for Ken-Bar is (270) 362-4990.
Launch ramps have limited parking due to the high water. There is parking available for approximately 50 trailers at the Buckhorn Park launch ramp, 25 trailers at the Big Bear Highway launch ramp, 15 trailers at the Birmingham Ferry launch ramp and 50 trailers at the Jonathon Creek launch ramp. Anglers are advised to use these ramps if not staying at Moor’s resort.
