Boater Scott Bateman of Washington, Ind., caught a five-bass limit weighing 14 pounds, 15 ounces Saturday to win $2,985 in the FLW BFL Hoosier Division tournament on Lake Monroe. Under cloudy skies he fished wooded areas on the main lake with a 10-inch plastic worm in 2 to 4 feet of water to sack his limit.

3rd: Dick Shaffer, Rockford, Ohio, five bass, 13-8, $994

4th: Dan South, Corydon, Ind., five bass, 13-3, $697

5th: John Guidry, Bloomington, Ind., three bass, 11-2, $597

6th: Eric Snow, Clarksville, Ind., three bass, 10-8, $547

7th: Larry Sisk, Evansville, Ind., three bass, 10-7, $473

7th: Ronnie Smith, Walton, Ky., three bass, 10-7, $473

Ryan Taylor of Muncie, Ind., was the Co-angler Division winner of the Aug. 14 BFL Hoosier Division tournament; he earned $1,489.

Ryan Taylor of Muncie, Ind., caught a five-bass limit weighing 12 pounds, 11 ounces to win $1,489 in the Co-angler Division on Lake Monroe. He used a Monroe Special in the main lake in about 11 to 12 feet of water to catch his limit.

The next BFL Hoosier Division tournament is scheduled for Oct. 2-3 on the Ohio River at Rocky Point in Cannelton, Ind. After the fifth Hoosier Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 21-23 Regional Championship at Kentucky Lake in Gilbertsville, Ky., where boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
