Boater Dakota Lucy of Hot Springs, Ark., took home top honors at the Walmart BFL Arkie Division event on DeGray Lake with a first-place catch of 22 pounds, 6 ounces. Lucy netted $3,500 in prize money as well as a Ranger Cup bonus check for $2,000. Angler: Dakota Lucy.

Boater Dakota Lucy of Hot Springs, Ark., caught a five-bass limit weighing 22 pounds, 6 ounces March 26 to win $5,505 in the BFL Arkie Division tournament on DeGray Lake. Lucy fished points on a Carolina rig with green lizards to sack his limit.

Bogard nets co-angler title

Non-boater Robert Bogard, Jr., of Conway, Ark., used a first-place catch of 13 pounds, 12 ounces to win the Walmart BFL Arkie Division event on DeGray Lake. Bogard netted $1,700 in prize money.Robert Bogard Jr., of Conway, Ark., caught a five-bass limit weighing 13 pounds, 12 ounces March 26 to win $1,753 in the Co-angler Division. Bogard Jr., used Humdinger lizards on a Carolina rig to haul in his limit.

The next BFL Arkie Division tournament is scheduled for May 14 on Lake Ouachita in Mount Ida, Ark. After the fifth Arkie Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 13-15 BFL Regional Championship on Wheeler Lake in Decatur, Ala. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
