Boater Mark Allen of Mabank, Texas, caught a five-bass limit weighing 16 pounds, 11 ounces April 2 to win $5,296 in the BFL Cowboy Division tournament on Lake Livingston. Allen was pitching soft plastics in Kickapoo Creek to sack his limit.

James Dunn of Lecompte, La., caught a five-bass limit weighing 11 pounds, 12 ounces to win $1,648 in the Co-angler Division. Dunn was on Palmetto Creek using watermelon-colored flukes to catch his limit.

Coming up

The next BFL Cowboy Division tournament is scheduled for June 4 on the Red River in Natchitoches, La. After the fifth Cowboy Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Nov. 3-5 Regional Championship on Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Ark. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
