Boater Kevin Chandler of New London, N.C., caught a two-day total of 10 bass weighing 33 pounds, 6 ounces Sept. 17-18 to win $5,197 plus a $2,000 Ranger Cup bonus in the Walmart BFL North Carolina Division tournament on High Rock Lake. Chandler was fishing Abbots Creek and using a spinnerbait.

The top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Nov. 3-5 Regional Championship on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, S.C. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
