The Walmart FLW Tour’s 2015 summer swing kicked off with stop No. 4 at Lake Eufaula in Alabama, where anglers – and the media members who bird dog them on the water – had to deal with scorching heat and sweat-drenching humidity. Despite suffering in the oven that was Eufaula, the crew pieced together another solid selection of tournament photos.

Here are our 10 favorites.

Randy Haynes doing what Randy Haynes does -- milking an offshore spot for a nice toad on day one.

1. Randy Haynes was hoping to rekindle some of the magic he experienced on Eufaula back in 2013, when we won a Walmart FLW Tour event on the Chattahoochee River impoundment. This day-one keeper, caught in action by FLW Editor-in-Chief Colin Moore, helped Haynes to open the event in seventh. The Tennessean ended up in sixth place.

Another one in the net for Clent Davis.

2. Alabama’s own Clent Davis put himself in contention to win at Lake Eufaula with daily hawgs like this one, captured by photographer Shane Durrance on day two. Davis finished third.

3. Mother Nature always plays a role in a tournament’s outcome. At Eufaula, she scorched the anglers with intense heat and humidity, then greeted them with a wicked summer thunderboomer at the day-two weigh-in. The storm’s arrival was photographed by FLW Managing Editor Curtis Niedermier.

4. FLW Field Editor Rob Newell was there to catch this sweet shot of rookie phenom Zack Birge dealing with an acrobatic bass on the second day at Eufaula. Birge finished eighth and has pretty well sewed up the Rookie of the Year title.

Bryan Thrift gets some extreme distance and height on his casts.

5. Accuracy, precision, efficiency – you could use a lot of adjectives to describe Bryan Thrift’s winning approach at Lake Eufaula, where he deftly targeted isolated pieces of brush and other cover with a swimbait. FLW Senior Editor Kyle Wood grabbed this sweet shot of Thrift making a long cast in the early morning hours on day three.

Bryan Thrift starting running the bank and quickly popped a decent keeper.

6. Thrift spent most of his tournament out in the depths of Eufaula, but he did manage to haul in a few shallow bass during the tournament to help secure his win, including this one witnessed by Wood on day four.

AOY leader Wesley Strader swings a fish aboard on day two.

7. Wesley Strader has the hottest hand in bass fishing right now. The Walmart FLW Tour Angler of the Year leader hoisted this pig into the boat in front of the lens of FLW Associate Editor Jody White on day two.

Troy Morrow demonstrates his solo netting skills on this keeper.

8. After locating brush pile bass with an underwater camera in practice, Troy Morrow got to see plenty of them in person during the Eufaula tournament. He took the lead on day two and held off Thrift’s charge on day three, when this shot was taken by Durrance. Unfortunately for Morrow, Thrift kept on charging and bumped the Georgia pro down to second place in the final round.

Adrian Avena bags 'em up. He's in sixth with 34-13 after two days.

9. Catch them once, then catch them again at weigh-in. “Jersey Boy” Adrian Avena’s fish were plenty healthy when he brought them in to the marina on day two, as you can see from the feisty bass in this photo, which was taken by Niedermier.

The sun rises on another clear and lovely day at Lake Eufaula.

10. Like at every place that the Walmart FLW Tour visits, God’s artwork was on display at Lake Eufaula. FLW’s photo guru D. W. Reed II recognized the beauty and captured this moment prior to the day three takeoff.
