Top-10 anglers gear up for championship run

JASPER, Texas – And then there were 10.

Under a backdrop of hazy, overcast skies and unrelenting humidity, the finalists in the $185,000 EverStart Series field took off shortly after 7 a.m. in a bid for glory as well as the top prize of $15,000 and a brand new Ranger boat. With over 320 anglers already eliminated, the remaining fisherman can receive no worse than $4,000 in the Pro Division and $1,500 in the Co-angler Division.

However, it is doubtful that any of these competitors left Twin Dykes Park marina today thinking about 10th place.

Today’s final weigh-in is scheduled to take place at 4 p.m. at the Wal-Mart Supercenter located at 800 West Gibson Road in Jasper, Texas.
