Top 20 anglers take off for day three of EverStart competition

JASPER, Texas – Warmer temperatures and bluebird skies greeted EverStart Series semifinalists as they put in for Friday’s fishing action on Sam Rayburn Reservoir. For many of the top 20 pros and co-anglers who made the cut from the two-day opening round, the prospect of calm, sunny conditions could mean better fishing as the bass become more active.

“If the sun comes out, I think it will put (the bass) shallower,” said Tim Carroll yesterday. Carroll led the Pro Division both Wednesday and Thursday.

Today’s weigh-in begins at 4 p.m. at the Wal-Mart Supercenter located at 800 West Gibson in Jasper. Anglers started the day with zero weight. After today’s one-day shootout the top 10 anglers from each division will qualify for Saturday’s final round.
