Final round underway at Sam Rayburn

JASPER, Texas – On Wednesday they began by competing against 165 fellow anglers in their respective fields. By Saturday, the pro and co-angler fields have been cut twice, and just 10 pros and 10 co-anglers remain. EverStart Series anglers took off this morning onto Sam Rayburn Reservoir to do battle in a one-day bass-fishing shootout and lay claim to their chunk of the $210,000 cash prize in the first Central Division event of the year.

Anglers all restarted the day with zero weight. The pro winner will receive $15,000 and a new Ranger boat while the winning co-angler receives $6,000.

Conditions today are similar to Friday, with even warmer temperatures and no precipitation. Fog was rolling in as competitors took off, but is expected to burn off as the day wears on.

Today’s final weigh-in begins at 4 p.m. at the Wal-Mart Supercenter located at 800 West Gibson in Jasper.
