Top 10 anglers hit the water in search of EverStart title

EUFAULA, Ala. – With frigid temperatures, clear skies and a beautiful sunrise serving as a backdrop for the start of today’s competition, the final 10 anglers in each division made their way past Lake Point State Park marina shortly after 5:30 a.m. in search of victory on the open waters of Lake Eufaula.

Replete with gloves, face-masks, body suits and heavy duty jackets, the anglers quickly set a course for their favorite fishing holes in search of the largest of the largemouth bass in an effort to procure the vaunted first-place prize – $15,000 and brand new 500 series Ranger Comanche boat for the winner of the Pro Division and $6,000 for the top performer in the Co-angler Division.

However, it will not be easy. With a very competitive field on hand and the previous three day’s stringer weights reset to zero, anglers will have to start building a case for victory from scratch.

EverStart action continues at today’s weigh-in, scheduled to take place at 4 p.m. at the Wal-Mart Supercenter, located at 1218 South Eufaula Ave. in Eufaula.
