EverStart anglers duke it out for tournament title on Lake Mead during today’s finals

HENDERSON, Nev. – With a bright, sunny sky and calm conditions serving as backdrop for today’s action, the remaining top-10 pros and co-anglers departed Callville Bay Resort marina shortly after 7 a.m. to kick off the most important day of the Lake Mead tournament to date. To be sure, there is a lot at stake. Not only are valuable year-end point totals on the line, but as much as $60,000 awaits today’s winner in the Pro Division and as much as $25,000 in cash in prizes for the ultimate victor in the Co-angler Division.

However, despite the bountiful incentives, anglers can pretty much figure upon another difficult day of fishing on the fickle waters of Lake Mead. After all, none of the 40 contestants in yesterday’s competition was even able to land a five-fish stringer.

Heading into today’s competition, Sean Minderman of Post Falls, Idaho, retained the top qualifying spot in the Pro Division, while Adam Hodge of Gilbert, Ariz., sat atop the leaderboard in the Co-angler Division. However, all of the anglers will be starting with a level playing field as all tournament weights have been zeroed before the start of today’s action.

EverStart action continues at today’s weigh-in, scheduled to take place at 3 p.m. at the Callville Bay Resort marina, located at 100 Callville Marina Road, Las Vegas, Nev.
