DENISON, Texas – After a treacherous night that consisted of round after round of severe thunderstorms, the top 10 pros and 10 co-anglers headed out onto Lake Texoma for the final day of fishing in the Stren Series Central Division event.

Last night’s storms have thankfully passed and Texoma land can collectively exhale. And although it may not feel fitting, the show must go on. All things considered, Stren Series anglers were fortunate to get a full day of fishing in yesterday. Soon after the day-three weigh-in concluded, the severe weather rolled in.

Scattered thunderstorms are in the forecast yet again, but local meteorologists don’t expect them to turn severe. How the fish will respond remains to be seen. Typically after a severe storm, bass behave passively and more or less become dormant. But these are some of the best anglers in the world. If anybody can catch them it may just as well be them.

Third-place pro Larry Rea says he has no idea what to expect on the water today. His area has been productive all week, yet he hasn’t been able to trigger a big bite.

“The area I’m fishing is just full of 2-pounders,” said Rea. “I’m junk fishing. I’ve got five rods that I plan on using today.”

Rea figures today he is due for a kicker.

“I’ve seen some in practice so I know they are there. I figure I need 15 or 16 pounds to have chance today.”

The final weigh-in begins today at 4 p.m. Central time at the Wal-Mart store located at 401 Highway 75 North in Denison. Winners from each division are determined by the heaviest accumulated weight from days three and four.
