OKEECHOBEE, Fla. – This year the Stren Series has gone to a cumulative weight format. Instead of zeroing the weights for the top-10 pros and co-anglers in the final rounds, the winner will be determined by the total accumulated weight over four days.

But that new rule has had little impact on the leaders of the Okeechobee event. With the top-3 anglers separated by just ounces and the top 5 separated by a few pounds, no single pro has a clear advantage going into day four.

Also, considering that any given cast on Okeechobee can render a 10-pounder, this tournament title is still up in the air.

As the top-10 pros and co-anglers take to the water on day four to battle it out, there’s likely to be some terrific catches. Yesterday’s heavy winds have subsided and today’s forecast calls for plenty of sun and gentle breezes – just the right kind of day for drifting slowly through spawning areas and sneaking up on giant female bass.

The final day weigh-in at the Okeechobee Wal-Mart should be an exciting one. And if you can not make it, tune into FLW Live on flwoutdoors.com to witness the lunker show, which will begin at 4 p.m. eastern.
