From cranking to flipping, a pretty wide array of techniques were on display in the Costa FLW Series Southwestern Division event presented by Lowrance on Fort Gibson. If you’re headed to Fort Gibson, or even a similar lake like Grand Lake, you might want to think about bringing along some of what the top 10 pros caught ‘em on.

Fulps’ winning pattern

 

1. Tournament winner Derek Fulps caught his fish on a Gene Larew Hoodaddy Jr. and a Zoom Trick Worm rigged with 3/16- to 3/8-ounce weights.

 

2. Kyle Cortiana caught most of his fish on a 3/8-ounce Chompers Brush Jig with a Gene Larew Punch Out Craw trailer. He also fished a 5/8-ounce Gene Larew Hardhead with a Biffle Bug in the Sooner run color.

 

3. For third-place Brandon Mosley, it was a 5/8-ounce shaky head with a Zoom Magnum Trick Worm and a Brush Hog and Berkley Havoc Pit Boss Texas-rigged with a 3/8-ounce weight and a 5/0 hook.

 

4. Improving from 10th to fourth, Jim Tutt fished a 5/8-ounce Santone Blade Jig with a Yamamoto Zako trailer and a 1/8-ounce Gambler Giggy Head with a Zoom Trick Worm.

 

5. FLW Tour pro Zack Birge caught his fish on a 6th Sense Movement 80X in the bone reactor color and a Texas-rigged Missile Baits D Bomb in super bug.

 

6. Brett Brumnett fished a diverse array of baits that included a jig, a War Eagle spinnerbait, a River2Sea Whopper Plopper and a Texas-rigged Berkley Havoc Pit Boss.

 

7. Seventh-place pro Brian Potter caught his fish on a 1/4-ounce shaky head with a Gene Larew Tattletail Worm, a 5/16- to 1/2-ounce Gene Larew Hardhead with a Biffle Bug and a black River2Sea Whopper Plopper.

 

8. Targeting rocky banks down-lake and in the Grand River, Keystone Light pro Jeff Sprague flipped a  V&M Pacemaker Adrenaline Flippin’ Jig and cast a Black Label Balsa Ricochet crankbait and a 6th Sense Movement 80X.

 

9. Finishing ninth, Chad Warren fished a Gene Larew Biffle Bug in green pumpkin and Sooner Run on a 7/16-ounce Hardhead. He also fished a watermelon black/red flake Yamamoto Senko, Texas rigged with a 3/8-ounce weight and a 6/0 hook.

 

10. Jeff Dobson split his time between a Rebel Pop-R in foxy shad and a 1/2-ounce brown/blue J.D. Fishing football jig with a Zoom Super Chunk Jr. in green pumpkin.
