Red Man heads to Pickwick Lake for second Mississippi Division

GILBERTSVILLE, Ky. – Up to four hundred of the region’s top weekend anglers will visit Pickwick Landing State Resort Park on Pickwick Lake Saturday for the second Red Man Tournament Trail event in the Mississippi Division.

Saturday’s weigh-in will take place at Pickwick Landing State Resort Park in Pickwick Dam, Tenn., at 3 p.m.

The third tournament in the Mississippi Division will be held April 15 on Ross Barnett Reservoir, and the region’s Super Tournament will take place Sept. 30-Oct. 1 on Lake Ferguson.

Operation Bass was founded in 1979 on the principle that working anglers should be able to fish competitively without interfering with jobs and family. The trail’s championship event, the Red Man All-American, awards $100,000 to the winning boater and $50,000 to the winning co-angler. Overall, more than $5.7 million could be awarded in 2000.

Red Man opens Bama Division on Lake Martin

GILBERTSVILLE, Ky. – Up to four hundred of the region’s top weekend anglers will kick off the 2000 Red Man Tournament Trail season Saturday at Wind Creek State Park on Lake Martin in the first of five events in the trail’s Bama Division.

Saturday’s weigh-in takes place at Wind Creek State Park located at 4325 Alabama Highway 128 in Alexander City at 3 p.m.

The second stop in the Bama Division will be April 29 on Weiss Lake. The region’s Super Tournament will take place Sept. 23-24 on Neely Henry Lake.

LBL Division season set to begin on Kentucky Lake

GILBERTSVILLE, Ky. – Up to four hundred of the region’s top weekend anglers will kick off the 2000 Red Man Tournament Trail season Saturday at Kentucky Dam State Park on Kentucky Lake in the first of five events in the trail’s LBL Division.

Saturday’s weigh-in will take place at Kentucky Dam State Park at 3 p.m.

The second stop in the LBL Division will be April 22 out of Barkley State Park on Barkley Lake. The region’s Super Tournament will take place Sept. 30-Oct. 1 out of Moors Marina on Kentucky Lake.

Red Man opens Okie Division on Grand Lake

GILBERTSVILLE, Ky. – Up to four hundred of the region’s top weekend anglers will kick off the 2000 Red Man Tournament Trail season Saturday at Red 11 Port on Grand Lake in the first of five events in the trail’s Okie Division.

Saturday’s weigh-in will take place at Red 11 Port located on Route 2 in Grove, Okla., at 3 p.m.

The second stop in the Okie Division will be May 6 on Fort Gibson Lake. The region’s Super Tournament will take place Sept. 30-Oct. 1 on Grand Lake.

Red Man heads to the Arkansas River for second Arkie Division event

GILBERTSVILLE, Ky. – Up to four hundred of the region’s top weekend anglers will visit Dumas Pendleton Bridge on the Arkansas River Saturday for the second 2000 Red Man Tournament Trail event in the Arkie Division.

Saturday’s weigh-in will take place at Pendleton Bridge Marina at 3 p.m.

The Red Man Tournament Trail returns to the Arkansas River Sept. 9-10 for the region’s Super Tournament at Pine Bluff Regional Park.
