Citing emergency surgery to remove his gall bladder, pro Alvin Shaw announced today that he is withdrawing from the remaining two 2020 Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit events. Shaw, a 16-year FLW pro, has 15 top-10 finishes and two career victories in FLW competition.
Shaw issued the following statement today:
Dear fishing fans and friends,
I wanted to let everyone know that I will be missing the final two events of the 2020 FLW Pro Circuit season in order to have surgery to remove my gall bladder. I will miss, more than I can say, the opportunity to fish and compete. Thank you to all my wonderful sponsors, friends, and fans who have supported me throughout this season, and throughout my career. I am looking forward to getting this obstacle behind me and competing again in 2021!
Tight Lines,
Alvin
“FLW and Major League Fishing (MLF) wish Alvin a very speedy recovery and we look forward to seeing him back out on the water competing again soon,” says Kathy Fennel, FLW Executive Vice President and General Manager.
A field of 203 professional anglers from FLW and Major League Fishing (MLF) will be competing on the Mississippi River in La Crosse this week, July 29-Aug. 1, at the Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit at the Mississippi River presented by OPTIMA Batteries.
