GALLERY: Lucas Oil Qualifier wraps up in Minnesota

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. – The final day of the Lucas Oil Qualifier of the General Tire Team Series wrapped up with a Team Fox Rent a Car win and bid to the Championship in Florida.

Fox’s team captain James Elam gathered Jonathon VanDam and Brent Chapman to map out a plan the night before.

“We sent Jonathon to where I had been catching them the first day on Lake Carlos, and I joined Brent on his best place on Lake Darling,” Elam said. “Darling was the best of the lakes, but it was crowded and we knew we’d have to catch as much as we could early to get the most out of it.”

The next stop on the General Tire Team Series will be in Stockton, Missouri. Coverage of the Costa Qualifier presented by Toyota will begin Feb. 11 (2-4 p.m. ET), Feb. 12 (4-6 p.m. ET) and Feb. 17 (9-11 a.m. ET). on the Outdoor Channel.
