GALLERY: Team Builders FirstSource wins Match 2 in Longview
LONGVIEW, Texas – It was a two-horse race with nearly 100 pounds needed to win Match 2 of the Builders FirstSource Qualifier Presented by Berkley. Kyle Hall, Jesse Wiggins and Gary Klein of team Builders FirstSource rallied for the win with 56 bass weighing 98 pounds, 7 ounces. Hot on their heels was team Crockett Creek (Ott DeFoe, Andy Montgomery and Brandon Coulter) with 54 bass weighing 95-7, a mere 3-1 behind.
Meanwhile, team B&W Trailer Hitches (Randall Tharp, Gerald Spohrer and Russ Lane) put up a good fight but fell short of the elimination line with 24 bass weighing 43-15.
Up next, team Builders FirstSource and team Crockett Creek will advance to the semifinals, while team B&W Trailer Hitches packs up for home. Three more teams will duke it out for the two remaining spots in the Builders FirstSource Qualifier.
