CLERMONT, Fla. – After three qualifying events, nine teams of three MLF pros earned a trip to the General Tire Team Series Bass Pro Shops Championship Presented by B&W Trailer Hitches. The Team Series Championship is a seven-day event that was shot in December of 2022 on bodies of water in Lake County, Florida. The format is relatively simple: There are three two-day matches, with three teams competing in each match. The winning team of each match earns a spot in the Championship Round, a one-day shootout for the title and a $300,000 payday.
Match 1 of the Team Series Championship featured Team Builders FirstSource (Jeff Sprague, Randall Tharp and Cliff Crochet), Team Star brite (Skeet Reese, Jeremy Lawyer and Shaw Grigsby) and Team Ferguson (Jonathon VanDam, Brent Chapman and James Elam). At the end of Day 1 on Lake Minneola, Team Builders FirstSource found themselves on top of SCORETRACKER® with a sizable lead going into Day 2.
