Now that the final results are in, FLWOutdoors.com would like to congratulate everyone who took the time to participate in the latest FLW Outdoors Fantasy Fishing Challenge. While no contestant was able to correctly guess the top five anglers at the last Wal-Mart FLW Tour competition and walk away with the $1 million grand prize, 25 participants did manage to win a variety of great prizes.

Topping the list of fantasy-fishing prognosticators was Jode Hewett of Hahira, Ga., whose five-angler combination earned a check for $5,000. Hewett’s fantasy team earned 952 points at the Chevy Open on the Potomac River – a slim 38 points off perfection – to tie the highest official Fishing Challenge score earned so far in 2005. There’s only chance left this year to break the 952-point high score or to win the $1 million grand prize with a perfect score of 990 points.

To win the $1 million grand prize in the last Fishing Challenge – which took place June 22-25 on the Potomac River near La Plata, Md. – a participant would have had to have selected the following five pros, in sequential order, so as to mirror the actual tournament outcome:

1st: Michael Iaconelli of Runnemede, N.J.

2nd: Clark Wendlandt of Cedar Park, Texas

3rd: Jerry Williams of Conway, Ark.

4th: Greg Hackney of Gonzales, La.

5th: Toshinari Namiki of Hachioji City, Japan

Other awards, presented to the top 25 contestants, ranged from a die-cast model of an official FLW Outdoors sponsor boat to FLW Outdoors-branded tackle and other fishing gear.

Note to winners: Please allow six to eight weeks for delivery of prizes.

Winners of the latest FLW Outdoors Fantasy Fishing Challenge included the following top five:

1st: Hewett, who won a check for $5,000.

2nd: Frank Lee of Brooklyn Park, Minn., who won a die-cast replica of an official FLW Tour Ranger Comanche sponsor boat and a one-year FLW Outdoors membership.

3rd: Jason Cazimero of Indianapolis who won a set of FLW Outdoors-branded lures and a Plano gear bag.

4th: Iane Graham of Anderson, S.C., who won a set of FLW Outdoors-branded lures.

5th: Kathy Swain of Uhrichsville, Ohio, who won a Plano gear bag and an FLW Outdoors T-shirt.
