The fish catching has continued right into Saturday morning at the Costa FLW Series on Santee Cooper. Tournament leader Bradley Dortch was hampered by fog and clouds early this morning. He needs sun to see the stumps where the fish are positioned and the dark morning had him blindfolded so to speak. But once the fog lifted, the skies cleared and the sun popped out, Dortch could see his targets and he put three in the boat quickly. His co-angler Todd Walters followed suit with four keepers.
Meanwhile, up in the “swamp,” Preston Clark put a 4- and a 2-pounder in the boat within the first 10 minutes of fishing. Tim Malone had three in the well, one of which was a 4-pounder. Glenn Browne was making up some serious ground with 7-pounder, plus three other solid keepers to go with it.
With an afternoon bite still to come, it looks like the weigh-in will be another Santee showdown.
