BRP recently announced the addition of professional bass angler Bryan Thrift to Team Evinrude, the company’s elite professional fishing team. Thrift, the 2010 FLW Angler of the Year and a Shelby, N.C. native, has amassed more than $900,000 in career winnings and looks to add to his success in 2012 by relying on his Evinrude E-TEC 250 H.O.-powered Ranger Z521 fishing package.

“Evinrude is a company known for its rich heritage and quality outboard engines,” said Thrift. “Powering my Ranger with an Evinrude E-TEC this season will provide the ultimate in power and performance, and will inspire confidence as I compete at the highest levels of our sport.”

Thrift joins a well-respected and successful group of Team Evinrude FLW Tour anglers, including the reigning Forrest Wood Cup champion Scott Martin.

“Bryan Thrift is a bass angler of exceptional talent and has earned tremendous success on the tournament trail,” said Krista Heidgerken, Senior Communications Specialist for Evinrude. “We welcome Bryan to Team Evinrude and know that he will continue the tradition of showing the fishing world the benefits of running an Evinrude E-TEC engine, especially in tough competition conditions.”

This season, Team Evinrude bass anglers will be outfitted with the Evinrude E-TEC 250 H.O. outboard rigged on Ranger boats. Reliable, durable and environmentally friendly, the Evinrude E-TEC engine allows both professional and recreational anglers to spend more quality time on the water
