MINNEAPOLIS – Eagle Claw – where great fishing begins – announced Wednesday that the company has renewed its FLW Outdoors sponsorship through a multiyear agreement. Eagle Claw, the only American-made fishhook company in the world, joined the FLW Outdoors sponsorship team in 2002.

Approximately 55 million people head to America’s waters to catch fish each year. For Eagle Claw, that equates to 55 million people who need hooks. These customers, known for their brand loyalty, represent a huge market for all FLW Outdoors sponsors to tap into through their sponsorships.

“FLW Outdoors has brought fishing to the forefront and has played a significant role in expanding the sport,” said Chris Russell, marketing director for Eagle Claw Fishing Tackle. “We are proud to sponsor an organization that helps develop the sport, and we are glad to be able to reach so many people who love fishing and who will continue to help the sport grow.”

Eagle Claw’s logo will be seen on all six of FLW Outdoors’ lucrative tournament trails, including the Wal-Mart FLW Tour, the EverStart Series, the Wal-Mart Texas Tournament Trail, the Wal-Mart RCL Walleye Tour, the Wal-Mart RCL Walleye League and the Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League. The company will have a presence in FLW Outdoors tournament brochures, placement in FLW Outdoors Magazine and the opportunity to display the “FLW Outdoors proud sponsor” logo on its packaging.

“Eagle Claw has an obvious connection to FLW Outdoors, making for a great relationship,” said Charlie Hoover, president and CEO of FLW Outdoors. “We are proud to be associated with the company’s high-quality products and to be able to promote them to competitive anglers, who need the best hooks on the market with so much money on the line.”
