MINNEAPOLIS – Tune in Sunday, Aug. 21, to “Wal-Mart FLW Outdoors” on FSN for the inaugural Wal-Mart FLW Redfish Series event held in Sarasota, Fla. The first regular-season event of the $1.9 million FLW Redfish Series season concludes with the winning team claiming a cash prize of $37,500.

The “Wal-Mart FLW Outdoors” saltwater series is a reality-format show told from the anglers’ perspective. Each week the top four teams are followed from takeoff to weigh-in, allowing the audience to feel the anglers’ nerves, listen to their strategy and learn from their mistakes. The stories evolve, and the suspense grows throughout the one-hour show until the final weigh-in results are announced.

The Aug. 21 show follows Team Pedigree as Blair Wiggins of Cocoa, Fla., and his partner Tadd VanDemark of Key Largo, Fla., take the audience on a rollercoaster ride in the Gulf of Mexico.

Veteran redfish anglers Warren Girle of Longboat Key, Fla., and Billy Harris of Bradenton, Fla., started the final day in third place with 13 pounds, 6 ounces. The hometown team is employing a tactic known as “staking out,” a method where anglers tie their boat down and let the fish come to them. Collectively, the two have 45 years of experience fishing in Sarasota Bay.

Jeff Hagaman of Lutz, Fla., and James Goodwin of Palm Harbor, Fla., lead the event after the first day with a pair of redfish weighing 13 pounds, 14 ounces. Watch as the two stealthy competitors continue to upgrade their weight and improve their chances of winning the first FLW Redfish Series event.

FSN also follows husband-and-wife team and Port Charlotte, Fla., natives Diane and Fred Winters. Despite having a home-field advantage, the two Kellogg’s pros struggle as their fish turn spooky amid a cold front.

FSN broadcasts “Wal-Mart FLW Outdoors” Sundays from 11 a.m. to noon ET. Check local listings for show times and channels in your area. An online show guide is also available at FLWOutdoors.com.

While tournament weigh-ins are broadcast live at Wal-Mart stores throughout the country, “Wal-Mart FLW Outdoors” is tape-delayed to bring audiences nationwide the best tournament footage possible throughout the season.

FSN reaches more than 78 million homes through its network of 20 regional sports channels.
