SPARTA, Tenn. – The FLW Bass Fishing League is headed to Center Hill Lake March 27 for the second of five stops in the Music City Division. As many as 400 boaters and co-anglers will be competing for top awards of up to $8,000 and $3,000, respectively.

“It’s going to be a jerkbait and shallow-running crankbait and spinnerbait bite,” said FLW Tour pro Adam Wagner of Cookeville, Tenn., who has won more than $275,000 in FLW Outdoors competition. “There’s water color all over the lake. If the water warms up a few degrees, it will be great.

“It will take a whole lot of weight to get in the money and win,” Wagner added. “Right now, the smallmouth bite is good and the largemouth bite is slow, but if it warms up, it will be absolutely incredible.”

Takeoff and weigh-in will be at Ragland Bottom Recreation Area located at 1423 Ragland Bottom Road in Sparta, Tenn. Takeoff is scheduled for 7 a.m., while weigh-in will begin at 3 p.m. Takeoffs and weigh-ins are free and open to the public.

The BFL is a 24-division circuit devoted to weekend anglers, offering even bigger prizes to those who qualify for regional championships and those who make it to one of the longest-running championships in all of competitive bass fishing – the BFL All-American presented by Chevy. Top winners in the BFL can move up to the American Fishing Series or even the FLW Tour.
