Anglers gear up to qualify for Saturday’s final round of competition

JASPER, Texas – On a hazy and humid morning, 60 anglers took off from the Twin Dykes Park public boat ramp shortly after 7 a.m. with only one goal in mind – to make it through today’s all-important top-10 cut.

With more than 280 anglers already eliminated from competition, the field will be further whittled down to 10 anglers in each division shortly after today’s weigh-in. Anglers are competing for the top prize of $15,000 and a new Ranger boat in the Pro Division and $6,000 in cash in the Co-angler Division.

Today’s weigh-in is scheduled to take place at 3 p.m. at Twin Dykes marina located just off Hwy 255.
