EverStart anglers anticipating top-10 cut at the end of today’s competition on Kentucky Lake

GILBERTSVILLE, Ky. – The numbers are steadily dwindling. With 270 anglers eliminated after yesterday’s weigh-in, today’s field is acutely aware that 40 more fishermen will suffer a similar fate today when the tournament is further whittled down to the top-10 anglers in each division.

While making the top 10 is an honor in-and-of-itself, the hefty amount of cash and prizes looming over the horizon – $15,000 and a new Ranger boat for the winner of the Pro Division and $6,000 earmarked for the co-angler champion – should guarantee a feisty and hard-fought semifinal round.

Unlike the anglers, however, the intensity level of the weather forecast has not increased with each passing day. According to national weather services, conditions bode well for another gorgeous day of fishing on Kentucky Lake. With slight winds from the south, calm waters and temperatures reaching into the mid 80s, it appears that the anglers’ biggest battle today will be trying to figure out those pesky largemouth and smallmouth bass.

Today’s weigh-in is scheduled to take place at 3 p.m. at Moors Resort located on Moors Camp Road in Gilbertsville, Ky.
