SHREVEPORT, La. – Anglers are fishing to make the cut on the Red River Thursday, day two of the EverStart Series Central Division closer. The top 20 pros and co-anglers will advance to Friday’s semifinals after today’s competition.

Weather remains sunny and warm in the Shreveport area. A big concern for anglers will be the ability to keep their bass cool and alive under the suffocating sun. A competitor incurs an 8-ounce penalty for every dead fish he or she brings in.

The total cash purse for this event is $210,000, with $15,000 and a Ranger boat going to the pro winner and $6,000 going to the co-angler winner. The four-day tournament goes through Saturday.

Weigh-in begins Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Clark’s Red River Marina, which is located about 20 miles south of Bossier City on Highway 71.
