CLERMONT, Fla. – Team Crockett Creek caught more than twice as much bass than the second-place team to win the Championship Round of the General Tire Team Series Bass Pro Shops Championship Presented by B&W Trailer Hitches.
Anchored by Jacob Wheeler’s jaw-dropping 56 bass weighing 101 pounds, 6 ounces, Team Crockett Creek was a force to be reckoned with. Jason Lambert caught eight for 21-15 and Dylan Hays added four weighing 9-15 for a team total of 68 bass weighing 133-4.
Meanwhile, Team Smokey Mountain Herbal Snuff and Pouches posted 23 bass weighing 60-12 and Team Builders FirstSource caught 24 bass for 49-15.
For their efforts, Team Crockett Creek earned $300,000 and bragging rights as the first General Tire Teams Series champions.
